Bio
Meredith Jackson is a journalist and writer based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Originally from the Southeastern United States, she immigrated to Uruguay in 2018. Her writing centers on human rights and social movements in the Southern Cone and seeks to bring attention to the stories that are overlooked and underreported in English-language media. She has written for The Dial, New Lines Magazine, Dispatch and other publications. She received a 2026 Silvers Grant for her forthcoming feature, “Data Center Colonialism,” to be published in Dispatch.
